Wake up parents! Get involved in what's going on in schools, and learn what blend of content is entrained into your children… (unless you expect school to serve as babysitters only).
Technologies are evolving so rapidly. It seems as if , children are born with a natural talent to swipe the screens of their parent’s smart mobile devices.
Some schools around the world, consider to stop teaching handwriting with a pen /pencil and suggest, teaching keyboard only. Could it be that children’s brains, will be conditioned to move fingers on keyboards of tablets and phones only? Will this decision make their behavior become automatic, dogmatic and less flexible?
By the time research and scientific studies results will analyze the outcome of teaching keyboards only; we will be raising robotic children that will program robots – isn’t this a frightening idea?
We keep talking about what it would be like, when AI and robots will take over and rule the world. There are more and more apocalyptic futuristic movies about this topic.
Let’s not forget who programs robots.
What type of people do we want to program robots?
Schools, from kindergarten to college, must have a basic common goal: They need to provide generic tools for an individual to explore and learn things independently, in this dynamic world we live in.
Yet, schools ought to teach how to dialogue in multidisciplinary environments, work in groups, and in teams to enable, project management, and solving complex problems in large scales.
Remember, our minds are limited. You may be a professor in a known university or even get a Nobel Prize in physics, yet you are still limited in understanding the universe and the human’s mind. That is because we all perceive reality through our senses and through technological instruments. Let's be humbled. Science never sees is the “whole picture”.
The way to advance humanity with less conflicts, is by a group of leaders that share and collaborate as a multi-minds organism. These minds should be sane, humbled, creative and have compassionate balanced minds .
WHAT ARE SANE HUMBLED and BALANCED MINDS?
Science and technological knowledge is huge. History, religious, culture content, fill endless books and multimedia devices.
What would be the profile of the teachers and educators to inspire and facilitate tools to have a conscious humanity beyond greed, competition and personal hidden interests?
leaders who are HUMBLED and BALANCED, understand that collaboration of creative multidisciplinary minds around the world, could advance life quality and generate social echo systems with less violence and more effective communication.
By the end of the day, we are all in this together.
What should the schools of today teach the adults of tomorrow? What are the basic common denominator characteristics we should facilitate in children?
Let’s turn schools into wellness exploration incubators.
WHAT ARE WELLNESS EXPLORATION INCUBATORS?
Wellness are synergetic healthy conditions that every space holders should provide to the people that stay under their roofs for several hours. Businesses, health institutions, organizations, homes and schools’ executives are space holders leaders that should set resources to provide wellness conditions such as:
Eat healthy food to nourish the cells
Reduce stress daily
Reduce fatigue and insomnia
Move your body
Provide conditions for personal creativity
Provide echo friendly social atmosphere
Provide echo friendly physical environment
Provide conditions for personal growth
Every person – may s/he be- a child, a student, and a teacher in school should demand wellness.
Every person should learn how to activate wellness in him / her. That is wellness on demand.
WHAT DOES WELLNESS ON DEMAND MEAN?
You are in charge of your inner ecosystem of body, mind, emotional and spiritual being. It's your responsibility to insert and digest from the external world, the best data and sensor input, and integrate them with memories, thoughts, emotions and imagination and believes in order to generate your personal wellbeing.
SCHOOLS OF TODAY NEED TO SERVE AS EXPERIENTIAL-CREATIVE WELLNESS-WELLBEING INCUBATORS
